My first exercise in experimenting with paint on wood. It was an uncomfortable exercise that forced me to forget precision and to go BIG. Painting completely intuitively returned parts of myself I lost sight of during a period of depression. Working with the natural patterns in the wood grain, I experimented with layering sacred geometry, playing with dimensionality and opacity. The burst of color symbolizes the return of my inner child who used to paint everything in rainbow colors without a thought.
